COVID-19 Coronavirus Statement
The global outbreak of COVID-19 (a.k.a. the Coronavirus) has caused significant disruption to all aspects of everyday life, including to our operation.
We are doing our part to comply with all health and safety guidelines while also remaining in operation to help those who need our assistance so they can continue to work and provide for themselves and their families.
For the safety and health of our customers and staff, we have restricted drop-off and pickup of items needing work to curbside or at the door. No customers will be permitted inside the shop during the pandemic.
There has also been significant disruption to many behind-the-scenes operations. Many manufacturers and parts suppliers are working remotely with a reduced workforce. This slows everything from technical support through parts shipping & receiving to factory depot repairs. And manufacturers, suppliers, and shippers are all dealing with additional problems such as weather disasters (massive wildfires or hurricanes), social unrest (protests and rioting), and political disruptions (election mail and mail systems changes) or international supply disruptions. All of these factors add substantial delays.
Because of these and other interruptions to our economy, many people now have time to have their gear worked on that otherwise may have waited during “normal” times. This has caused our workload to increase significantly. At the same time, some of these individuals express anxiousness and impatience to have their gear completed. Frequent requests for “status updates” interrupt our productivity and slows everything down.
We ask that everyone please be patient and allow us to complete the work we have been asked to do as quickly as the present global circumstances allow, while also maintaining our high standards of quality.
